Oral Presentation (10%): The final presentation will be based on your final paper (to get credit for the final presentation, you must submit the final paper). Your presentation should be 7 to ten minutes long and should include what you learned about your chosen area of study. The presentation will be recorded and made available for the students in the course. You may go longer than 10 minutes if necessary.
What you will need to do.

-Professional dress and background for your recording. Use a zoom background if necessary.
-Do not read your entire presentation. You must demonstrate that you know the material by giving MOST of your presentation without looking at your notes. Deduction up to 15%.
-Do not be creative with power point background. A neutral color is okay.
-Good use of slides to convey information needed for your presentation.
-Clear introduction of the problem. Including variables of your study.
-Clear definition of variables for your study. For example, if you use parental monitoring, you should have a good definition of parental monitoring from the literature.
-Clear description of sections of your paper that you are reviewing on your slides.
-Identification of which variables are your IDVs and which variables are your DVs.
-Short background/review of IDVs. For example, what do we know about parental monitoring?
-Short background/review of DV/s. For example, what do we know about substance use among adolescents?
-Clearly state what past literature has found about the relationship between the IDVs and DVs. For example, what have you learned about the relationship between parental monitoring and substance use among adolescents based on your literature review?
-Clearly state your hypothesis for your study.
– Review your method. Who are the participants? Where did you get them? What is your procedure for gathering the data from your participants? What are the measures you used to assess your IDVs and DVs?
-Review your findings. There must be a discussion of analysis for each hypothesis. Remember you made up your results… Clearly state what analysis you conducted and why- describe why you selected that analysis.
-Describe why you think you found what you found. Link your findings to the findings of other researchers. Describe your study limitations and future studies. This is found in your discussion section of your paper, and you may label this as the Discussion of Findings on your slides.
